Venezuela vs Bolivia Prediction & Betting Tip

Venezuela vs Bolivia predictions for Thursday’s World Cup qualification clash. Venezuela and Bolivia both hope to end their winless streaks on Thursday.

Venezuela vs Bolivia
When: 10.11.2016, 23:30
Where: Estadio Monumental de Maturín
Prediction: Both Teams to Score: NO at 1/1 with bet365
Correct Score Prediction: Venezuela to Win 2-0 at 7/1 with bet365

Venezuela’s dismal World Cup qualifying campaign continued in October as they lost 3-0 at Uruguay and 2-0 at home to Brazil. After such a successful Copa America campaign in the summer they will have been hoping to kick on and get some points in qualifying, but so far that hasn’t materialised.

They remain without a win in this campaign and possess just two points from their opening ten matches. One of these came back in September when they earned a 2-2 draw at home to Argentina, and the other was in March when they held Peru away from home.

On home turf Venezuela have lost five, drawn two, and won one of their last eight matches across the board, conceding in all but one and scoring themselves in five of them.

Fortunately for them Bolivia aren’t looking much better. They have managed just four points from their ten games so far, leaving them second from bottom. Three of these points did come at home against Venezuela, but that victory seems a very long time ago now. Since then they have lost ten and drawn just one of their 11 games in all competitions.

Their singular draw came at home against Ecuador last time out, ending a run of four games without a goal in the process. Away from home the story gets even worse for the high altitude specialists. They have lost eight on the bounce away from home and have failed to score in seven of them.

Venezuela aren’t the best going forward either, with just six goals in their last eight at home. This, combined with Bolivia’s awful record in front of goal at home, makes odds of 1/1 both Both Teams Not to Score look a good value bet. I’m going for a 2-0 win for Venezuela at 7/1 as well.

Venezuela have won three, drawn two, and lost two of their last seven meetings with Bolivia.

Bolivia have failed to score in 88% of their last eight away games.

Genoa midfielder Tomas Rincon will captain Venezuela, whilst their major threat going forward will be top scorer Salomon Rondon. 23 year old Torino attacker Josef Martinez is also included.
Huachipato goalkeeper Carlos Lampe is captain for Bolivia, and Goteborg midfielder Martin Smedberg-Dalence is one of just three players in the squad based outside South America. Changchun Yatai striker Marcelo Martins Moreno is one of the others, with his 14 goals in 58 appearances making him the top scorer in the squad.

Prediction: Both Teams to Score: NO at 1/1 with bet365
Correct Score Prediction: Venezuela to Win 2-0 at 7/1 with bet365
