Everton vs West Ham Prediction & Betting Tip

Everton vs West Ham predictions for the Premier League’s early Sunday kick off. Everton hope to break out of their disappointing winless streak when they host West Ham.

Everton vs West Ham
When: 30th October, 13:30
Where: Goodison Park
Prediction: Everton to Win at 7/10 with bet365
Correct Score Prediction: Everton to Win 2-1 at 8/1 with bet365

Everton looked like a reformed team under Ronald Koeman after a difficult season last term, but things have started to go downhill recently after an excellent start to the campaign.

Their 2-1 defeat at Burnley last weekend made it five matches without a win for the Toffees, with Norwich and Bournemouth also managing to beat them and them also dropping points against Crystal Palace and Manchester City. This has pushed them down to 6th in the table, but it’s by no means a disaster just yet.

Romelu Lukaku remains the main man for Everton. He got an assist for Yannick Bolasie’s goal last weekend and scored against Manchester City the weekend before to take his personal tally to six league goals. Only two of these have come at Goodison Park, but he remains a good choice for an anytime goalscorer at 20/21. Yannick Bolasie is also a good choice there at 21/10. The winger got off the mark last weekend and West Ham have had trouble dealing with attacks down the wings this season.

West Ham have had trouble with a lot of things at stages this season, but they seem to be getting over a truly disastrous start to the campaign. They were knocked out of the Europa League at the playoff stage yet again and they lost five of their first six Premier League games.

Fortunately for them that run seems to be over. Their 2-1 win over Chelsea in the League Cup in midweek made it three wins on the trot for them after victories against Crystal Palace and Sunderland, but they are still in a dangerous 15th position in the Premier League table.

Michail Antonio has been the saving grace for West Ham so far this season. The winger has netted five times in the Premier League, although only two of those have come away from home. Another problem is the fact that Slaven Bilic has pushed him into a more reserved role to try and tackle their glaring defensive issues. The result has been a massively improved defensive record but a diminished attacking contribution from their star man this season. He was employed on the right side of the front three in midweek though, rather than last weekend’s wing back role, so he could start banging them in again if he’s played there again, and odds of 13/5 for him to score anytime look good value.

Bilic fielded a strong team in midweek and they put a lot of effort in against Chelsea, and there’s a good chance that could effect proceedings on Sunday. West Ham have also lost four of their six away games in all competitions this season, whilst Everton have won three of their last five.

I think this is the weekend that Everton’s winning ways return. They had the midweek off after being eliminated from the League Cup in the last round, and they’re facing a side who still don’t look at their best. Odds of 7/10 for an Everton Win look good value for money, and I’m going for that along with a 2-1 correct score prediction at 8/1.

Everton have won two, drawn three, and lost one of their last six matches against West Ham.

West Ham have lost 67% of their away games this season, whilst Everton have won 60% of their last five at home.

Leighton Baines is a minor doubt for this game but should be alright to play, but James McCarthy is still a few weeks away from a comeback. Muhamed Besic, Matthew Pennington, and Tyias Browning all remain sidelined too.

Gokhan Tore is a few weeks off coming back, and Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho will have to wait until next weekend. Arthur Masuaku and Sam Byram are both still out, but Andre Ayew returned from the sidelines in midweek and is expected to continue his comeback here.

Prediction: Everton to Win at 7/10 with bet365
Correct Score Prediction: Everton to Win 2-1 at 8/1 with bet365
