La Liga: Atlético Madrid vs Barcelona Betting Preview

This Wednesday at 8.45 PM in a huge clash at the Camp Nou Barcelona takes on Atletico Madrid. Champions Barca head into the eagerly-anticipated contest fresh from their 5-1 thumping of Leganes, while Atletico head to Catalonia in fine form after they ruthlessly dispatched Sporting Gijon 5-0.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid.
When: September 21, 2016, 8:45pm
Where: Camp Nou
Live on: Sky Sports 2 HD
Odds: 9/2 3/1 3/5
Prediction: Take Barcelona at 3/5.

Both sides adopted new tactics and formations in their previous La Liga outings, a point which Guillem and Graham delve in to before asking whether there will be a similar occurrence when the two sides meet on Wednesday.

Barcelona scored 3 goals by the end of the first half, and they also managed to score two more goals by the 64th minute. Coach Luis Enrique used a 3-4-3 formation, while he chose to substitute Suarez, Rakitic and Iniesta in order to keep their fatigue on low levels. However, Leganes were not afraid to go up front in search of a goal throughout the entire match, and they finally managed to score a consolation goal in the 80th minute for a final score of 5-1. Barcelona managed to regain their confidence from the embarrassing 2-1 loss at home against Deportivo Alavés. They will now play the first big derby of the season against the team that disqualified them from the Champions League last season, Atletico Madrid. Since coach Enrique took over Barcelona, he has won all 4 match-ups against Atletico Madrid for the league, but only managed to keep one clean sheet.

Atletico Madrid destroyed Sporting Gijon with a whooping 0-5 last weekend. Atletico Madrid had somehow managed to score twice at the first 5 minutes of the match. Griezmann scored his second personal goal of the night in the minute 31, which essentially sealed the win for his team. Fernando Torres had entered the match in the minute 69, and he managed to score 2 goals on his own in the minutes 72 and 90. Coach Simeone is still looking to score a win over Barcelona in the league, as he has failed in his previous 9 attempts.

Both teams are very string and they both come after some strong wins. Atletico Madrid will be very physical in this match, as always, but Barcelona are very tough at home, and i think they will be able to take the win.
