Fenerbahce vs Manchester United Prediction & Betting Tip

Fenerbahce vs Manchester United predictions for Thursday evening’s Europa League tie. Fenerbahce hope to leapfrog Manchester United and move into the qualification positions.

Fenerbahce vs Manchester United
When: 3.11.2016, 18:00
Where: Ülker Stadyumu Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Spor Kompleksi
Prediction: Fenerbahce 0.0 Asian Handicap Win at 2.150 with bet365
Correct Score Prediction: Fenerbahce to Win 1-0 at 15/2 with bet365

Fenerbahce suffered a heavy defeat at Old Trafford a few weeks ago as Manchester United turned on the style and won 4-1, but the Turkish side have bounced back from this setback in confident fashion. They beat Konyaspor 1-0 away from home the following weekend and beat Karabukspor 5-0 at home on Sunday to make it five wins, two draws, and one defeat in their last eight outings.

They are still down in 5th in the Turkish Super Liga after a slow start to the season, but the signs are pointing in the right direction for them. They are still in the hunt for the knockout stages of the Europa League as well, with just two points separating them from Feyenoord and Manchester United above them.

Robin van Persie is the man to watch out for. He netted his first Europa League goal of the season at Old Trafford as he returned to his old hunting ground and he scored another two at the weekend to make it four for the season in all competitions. Backing him to come back to haunt Manchester United at 21/10 looks a very good option to me.

Manchester United’s frustratingly inconsistent season continued at the weekend as they played out a drab goalless draw with Burnley at Old Trafford, with Ander Herrera being sent off and Jose Mourinho being sent to the stands in an all round awful afternoon for the Red Devils.

This made it three draws, two wins, and one defeat in their last six matches in all competitions and leaves them in a very disappointing 8th position in the Premier League. This isn’t the sort of start that Mourinho was expecting when he came to Manchester United.

Away from home things are even worse. They have won one, drawn one, and lost three of their last five on the road, including a 3-1 loss to Watford, a 1-0 loss to Feyenoord, and a 4-0 thrashing at Chelsea. Fenerbahce have won three of their last four at home as well, so they will feel fairly good about their chances on Thursday.

I can’t see Manchester United winning this one. They look like a team divided at the moment and their away performances have been abject recently. Fenerbahce looked good at the weekend and will carry that confidence over into midweek, so odds of 2.150 for a Fenerbahce 0.0 Asian Handicap Win look good value to me. I’m going for a 1-0 correct score prediction at 15/2 as well.

Manchester United have won two and lost one of their three meetings with Fenerbahce, although their only trip to Fenerbahce ended in a 3-0 defeat back in 2004.

Manchester United have lost 60% of their last five on the road, winning just 20%. Fenerbahce have won 63% of their home games this season and lost just 13% of them.

Right back Gregory van der Wiel, midfielders Ozan Tufan and Uygar Zeybek, and striker Fernandao are all injured for Fenerbahce. Midfielder Aatif Chahechouhe is ineligible as well.

Manchester United are hoping that Chris Smalling and Anthony Martial can return from foot injuries in time for Thursday, but Antonio Valencia has broken his arm and Eric Bailly is out until Christmas with a knee ligament injury. James Wilson and Phil Jones remain out with ligament damage too.

Prediction: Fenerbahce 0.0 Asian Handicap Win at 2.150 with bet365
Correct Score Prediction: Fenerbahce to Win 1-0 at 15/2 with bet365
