Real Madrid vs Legia Warsaw Predictions & Betting Tips

Legia Warsaw could be in for a difficult night on Tuesday when they visit Real Madrid in the Champions League. Our free betting predictions suggest that a hammering could be on the cards here.

Real Madrid vs Legia Warsaw
When: 18 Oct 2016, 19:45
Where: Estadio Santiago Bernabéu
FREE BETTING TIPS: Real Madrid -4.0 Asian Handicap Win at 1.975 with bet365
CORRECT SCORE PREDICTIONS: Real Madrid to Win 6-0 at 9/1 with bet365

Real Madrid were struggling a bit before the international break. A number of injuries to key players had disrupted the tried and tested formula that Zinedine Zidane had in place, and as a result they had drawn four matches on the bounce.

The first of these stalemates came as they looked to break the record for La Liga wins in a row, and after that draws against Las Palmas, Borussia Dortmund, and Eibar allowed the likes of Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Sevilla to catch up with them in La Liga. Their injuries are still problematic, but they banished their demons on Saturday.

Real Madrid visited Real Betis without Luka Modric, James Rodriguez, Casemiro, and Sergio Ramos but came away with a huge 6-1 victory. Cristiano Ronaldo found the net on his return to Real Madrid action, fresh of the back of a four goal haul for Portugal in the international break, whilst Isco got two and Varane, Benzema, and Marcelo all added to the deluge of goals.

Ronaldo’s injury in the summer kept him out of the squad for the opening portion of the season, and for that reason there are no standout goalscorers in the squad, despite their talent. Ronaldo has four goals to his name in all competitions, whilst Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have three apiece. Ronaldo has more goals in fewer appearances though, so he is still the one to watch for Legia Warsaw.

Real Madrid’s mauling of Real Betis doesn’t bode well for Legia Warsaw. The Polish side have looked well and truly out of their depth so far in the Champions League, with a 6-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund kicking off their group stages and a 2-0 loss at Sporting CP following.

They aren’t even doing well domestically either. They have lost five of their last seven in all competitions and won just once, putting them down in 11th position in the Polish Ekstraklasa. During this period they have conceded 15 goals, averaging over two per game.

Real Madrid have scored 26 goals in their ten competitive games this season as well, so I think we could be on for a cricket score on Tuesday. Real Madrid and their star players didn’t get to where they are by taking it easy on the opposition. They show that constantly with their mauling of lesser opponents, and Cristiano Ronaldo played a key part in Portugal’s 6-0 thrashings of Faroe Islands and Andorra, scoring five himself. Backing a Real Madrid -4.0 Asian Handicap Win at 1.975 looks good to me, and I’m going for a 6-0 correct score prediction at 9/1 as well.

This will be the first meeting between these two sides.

Legia Warsaw have conceded 15 goals in their last seven competitive games, including an average of four per game in the Champions League.

Real Madrid are missing a number of key payers, with defender Sergio Ramos, midfielder Luka Modric, and playmaker James Rodriguez being the main absentees. Holding midfielder Casemiro is out until the end of the year as well, whilst Lucas Silva’s heart condition will keep him out for an unknown period of time. Left back Fabio Coentrao is also out.

Left winger Michal Kucharczyk is the only injury problem for Legia Warsaw, with his back injury keeping him out since September.

FREE BETTING TIPS: Real Madrid -4.0 Asian Handicap Win at 1.975 with bet365
CORRECT SCORE PREDICTIONS: Real Madrid to Win 6-0 at 9/1 with bet365
